In one week, on the 5th of December, approximately 50,000 people scattered all across the globe, will sit for the CFA Level 1 Exam. For these individuals it is the final push in an arduous journey, and I am certain many will be cramming as much material as possible into their heads during this last week. I have been there and I have done that. I feel your pain and I am certainly glad I am over that hurdle. I wish all who sit for the exam the best of luck.
Meanwhile, I have my own final push to mind.
I only have three weeks remaining until I will be complete with my masters degree. My final class in Creighton University’s Investment Management program (MIMFA) is Asset Management Within a Portfolio Context. Taking classes has become such a routine in my life that I don’t think I am fully processing the fact that I will be done soon. My wife recently told me that I am never allowed to take a college classes again. For some reason her statement immediately piqued an interest in doctorate programs for me (just kidding wife). I guess the MIMFA program wasn’t as fun for her as it was for me.
In three weeks I will no longer be a student and I will be an alumni.
Here’s to hoping that being an MIMFA alumni is just as rewarding as being a student. Go Jays!
